Promoting the Remanufacturing Narrative
For industries and governments looking to meet, or exceed, increasingly strict environmental regulations or policy goals, remanufacturing presents an opportunity to generate business revenue and taxation while yielding parts and products that perform like-new, contribute to GDP growth, and increase manufacturing jobs – but are significantly less impactful on the environment. Manufactured Again® encourages policymakers worldwide to adopt and implement legislation promoting the use of remanufactured products, such as the landmark ‘Vehicle Repair Cost Savings Act’ signed into law in the United States in 2015.
Additionally, industry companies are encouraged to contact and become involved with MERA – The Association for Sustainable Manufacturing, which advocates on behalf of all remanufacturers and their interests.
